Sweet Potato Gnocchi with Cinnamon Maple Syrup recipe

This is a fabulous way of cooking and serving sweet potato gnocchi - toss in this lovely spiced, warming syrup and top with a dollop of clotted cream or double cream to make a wonderful, sweet dessert.



  1. Heat the butter in a pan until beginning to brown ever so slightly, then remove from the heat and swirl by moving the pan in a circular motion.

  2. Add the maple syrup, cinnamon and vanilla and swirl to combine. Stir if the mixture isn't coming together.

  3. Meanwhile, cook the gnocchi in boiling water until they float to the top, then toss in the brown butter sauce to serve.

You could also serve this with some caramelised pears or some other fruit to cut through the richness a little bit. This recipe serves four.
